Academic Exchange Program with Scholarship in Taiwan – NCHU New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program 2025

International University (International University) cordially announces to students of the Academic Exchange Program NCHU New Southbound Policy Elite Study Program – Sustainability 2025 do National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taiwan is organizing, with sponsorship from Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Taiwan. This is an opportunity for academic study and international cultural exchange during the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year for outstanding students with a passion for issues related to sustainable development and global challenges.

1. Introduction to the Scholarship:

– Sponsor Organization: Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), Taiwan (China).

– Objective: To inspire outstanding young talents from prestigious universities in Southeast Asia to explore Taiwan.

– 2025 Theme: Sustainable Development and Global Warming Phenomenon

– Number of candidates recommended by the International University to NCHU: 02 spots

2. Time and Location of Participation:

– Time: From September 2025 to June 2026 (First Semester of the 2025–2026 academic year)

– Location: Partner University NCHU, Taichung City, Taiwan

3. Program Content:

– 10–12 hours of classes per week (with 5 hours of classes on Sustainable Development (Sustainability) for students participating);

– 6 hours of Chinese language classes per week

– Cultural exchange activities organized by NCHU

4. Financial Support from the Program:

– Monthly living allowance: NTD 10,000 per student per month
– Round-trip airfare from Vietnam to Taiwan (economy class, maximum NTD 25,000)
• On-campus housing within the university campus

5. Application Guidelines:

Step 1: Students prepare complete application documents according to the following guidelines from the International University via email cim@hcmiu.edu.vn

  • Subject line:  [NCHU NSPEP 25-26] Full name – Student ID
  • Content of the email submission: Students must clearly state their Full name, Student ID, Mobile phone number, Email (preferably Gmail), Passport number (valid for at least 12 months)
  • Deadline for submitting documents:  Before 16:00 on June 18, 2025 (Wednesday)

– CV/Resume in English

– English grade sheet on a 100-point scale (issued by International University, with the school’s signature and seal). Students requesting to be issued a grade sheet Please contact the University’s Undergraduate Training Department (A2.708), or request online via the portal: https://onlinerequestoaa.hcmiu.edu.vn/login/?next=/

– Plan of study: Students introduce themselves briefly, state their motivation for applying, outline their plan to participate in courses within the program, and mention their academic  Promote cultural exchange, present the objectives to be achieved after completing the program

– Certificate confirming full-time student status at International University (TT TĐGDQT will support in issuing this document for 02 candidates nominated by the university)

– Valid English language certificate (if any): Minimum proficiency level required is CEFR B2. Example: TOEFL ITP 543/iBT 72, IELTS 5.5, Other equivalent certificates

  • Format of the dossier:  Students should save their documents in PDF format and name them according to the template: Full name – Document name. Example: Nguyen Van A – Transcript of record scale 100; Tran Van B – CV in English

Step 2: International University selects and recommends 02 candidates to NCHU according to the guidelines.

Step 3: TT TTGDQT provides guidance to students on filling out online application forms.

Step 4: Candidates participated in interviews with NCHU representatives (mid-June 2025). NCHU announced the selection results in mid-June 2025.

Step 5: Admitted candidates should prepare visa application documents to enter Taiwan for the program (August 2025). TT TĐGDQT will cooperate with relevant units to support students with information and necessary documents issued by International University.
