Notice on Extending the Deadline for Submitting Applications for Waiver or Reduction of Tuition Fees for the First Semester of the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year

The Student Affairs Office (CTSV) announces the extension of the deadline for submitting and reviewing applications for tuition fee exemption and reduction (MGHP) for the first semester of the 2025 – 2026 academic year, with detailed content as follows:

• Deadline for submitting applications  16h00 on September 26, 2025 (Friday)
• Students submitting new applications or supplementing their application for review  AT THIS LINK  to submit the application in a timely manner.

2. REGULATIONS ON THE DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING TUITION FEE EXEMPTION AND REDUCTION APPLICATIONS AT INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY IN THE 2025 – 2026 ACADEMIC YEAR

1. For first-time students applying for tuition fee exemption and reduction:

• Step 1: Submit online until  16h00 on September 26, 2025 (Friday)  AT THIS LINK  (note: use the university email to fill in information and submit the application online).
• Step 2: Submit the paper application (complete set of documents as required)  at the Student Affairs Office (O1.105) until 16h00 on September 26, 2025 (Friday). It is also possible to submit via registered mail – express delivery through the following postal box: Student Affairs Office of International University, District 6, Linh Trung, Thu Duc, HCMC. The Student Affairs Office will review the application based on the time of sending the mail.

2. For students who have previously been reviewed for tuition fee exemption and reduction in previous semesters (students who need to supplement documents such as notification):

• Step 1: Submit online until  16h00 on September 26, 2025 (Friday) AT THIS LINK  (note: use the university email to fill in information and submit the application online).
• Step 2:  Submit the supplementary documents corresponding to each category  at the Student Affairs Office (O1.105) until  4:00 PM, September 26, 2025 (Saturday).

3. PROCEDURE FOR REVIEW AND PAYMENT OF MGHP FOR STUDENTS

The review and payment of MGHP for students are divided into two stages:

1. Stage 1: For students belonging to the categories specified in Decree No. 81:

• Students will submit new or supplementary MGHP applications at the beginning of the academic year.
• The Student Affairs Office (CTSV) will cooperate with relevant units to review applications, issue decisions, and make MGHP payments to students during the period  không quá 55 ngày  calculated from the date of the announcement of application acceptance (applicable from the first semester of the 2025-2026 academic year).

2. Stage 2: For students belonging to the categories supported by the International University.

• Students will submit new or supplementary MGHP applications at the beginning of the academic year.
• The Student Affairs Office (CTSV) will cooperate with relevant units to review applications, issue decisions, and make MGHP payments to students during the period  không quá 15 ngày  after the decision on the encouragement scholarship and admission scholarship is issued.
• In the case where a student is eligible for both policies, the student will receive two payments: MGHP according to Decree No. 81 first, and MGHP according to the university’s support policy later (the difference, if any).

Note:

• Phòng CTSV  không xét MGHP  cases where students  do not follow the two-step procedure  and the time schedule as specified above.
• In the case where a student temporarily suspends one or two semesters, the student is not listed in the MGHP decision for the immediately preceding semester, the student changes their student ID information, changes the MGHP category, or changes other information, the student must submit new supplementary applications according to regulations to update the information.
• In the case where a student submits the MGHP application after the deadline specified in the notice on the submission of MGHP applications by the Student Affairs Office, the application will be processed in the next semester and the student will not be eligible for reimbursement for the previous semester.

• Students who belong to categories eligible for MGHP and support for tuition fees, if they simultaneously receive multiple support policies, will only be eligible for the highest preferential policy.
• Students who are eligible for MGHP and are studying at multiple schools (or multiple departments within the same school) at the same time will only be eligible for the MGHP preferential policy at one school (department) only.
• During the study period, if the student’s family is no longer in the poverty category, the student is responsible for submitting a certificate confirming that the household has exited poverty to stop the payment of tuition fees for the next semester.
• Students who are siblings (brothers or sisters) studying at the university and who simultaneously generate tuition fees in the same semester will be eligible for tuition fee support from the second student onwards.
