Admission Information 2026
Two admission methods for University
Applicants must read and understand the target group, conditions, scoring method, and implementation time of each application method before registering their preferences.
Direct admission, priority admission
For candidates belonging to special achievement categories according to the Admission Regulations.
Comprehensive admission
Combining results from High School, General Education, transcript, bonus points, and priority points.
Direct admission, priority admission
Applicable according to the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission Regulations and the annual admission quotas of the University.
Direct Admission Candidates
- Heroes of Labor, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, National Model Soldiers are admitted directly into all training programs of the International University.
- Candidates who received the first, second, or third prize in the National or International High School Excellence Exam; the time of receiving the award must not exceed 03 years from the admission consideration date. The major for admission must be relevant to the subject in which the award was received.
- Candidates who received the first, second, or third prize in national or international science and technology competitions organized by or sent by the Ministry of Education and Training, with the time of receiving the award not exceeding 03 years and must meet the minimum quality assurance threshold. The major for admission must be relevant or close to the project or topic that won the award.
Priority Admission Candidates
- Candidates who are eligible for direct admission but do not use the direct admission right must submit their application under the priority admission category.
- Candidates who received the encouragement award in the National High School Excellence Exam, are eligible for admission into the corresponding major based on the subject they competed in, with the time of receiving the award not exceeding 03 years and an average score of Mathematics in grades 10, 11, and 12 of 8.0 or higher.
- Candidates who received the fourth prize in national science and technology competitions, are eligible for admission into the corresponding major based on the topic, with the time of receiving the award not exceeding 03 years and an average score of Mathematics in grades 10, 11, and 12 of 8.0 or higher.
Admission principles
- Direct admission first; if there are remaining quotas, priority admission candidates will be considered.
- If the number of valid applications exceeds the quota, the Admissions Committee will consider based on the ranking of achievements from highest to lowest.
- Candidates may register up to 03 preferences, including direct admission and priority admission, into International University.
Application Documents
- Application form printed from the system, with photo, signature, and confirmation from the high school
- Notarized copy of high school transcript for 03 years.
- Notarized copy of citizen identity card.
- Decision on the Awarding or Recognition of Honors for the Corresponding Category.
- Certificate of achievement for candidates in the category of outstanding student or science and technology achievements.
Three Steps to Registration and Submission of Documents
Online Registration
Access the candidate system and fill in all information within the specified time period.
Complete the form
Print the registration form, paste the photo, sign the name, and get the high school's confirmation.
Submit paper documents
Submit in person or send via express mail to the Office of University Education (O2.708), International University.
Candidates who meet the admission criteria under Method 1, except for the high school graduation requirement, still need to register preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training's system according to the general plan to make the result official.
Comprehensive admission
Applicable to candidates who meet the criteria and conditions according to the Ministry of Education and Training's Admission Regulations and the International University's admission policies.
Preferences and general principles
- Candidates may register up to 15 preferences into different university programs and educational institutions.
- Preferences must be arranged in order of priority from highest to lowest.
- The University admits students from the highest to the lowest score until the quota for each major is filled.
- Each candidate is only admitted to one highest preference that meets the conditions.
Conversion of English Language Course Credits
For candidates using foreign language certificates to exempt from the English graduation exam and register for admission to the School.

Foreign language certificate used for converting points in the foreign language subject in the composite admission package cannot be reused for receiving bonus points.
Additional components
Bonus Points
Total Points Added Do Not Exceed 10 points on a 100-point scale, including bonus points, merit-based points, and encouragement points. Bonus points are calculated before priority points.
Priority Points
If the Academic Score + Bonus Points are less than 75, the candidate will receive the priority according to the regulations.
If this total is 75 or above:
Priority Points = [(100 − Academic Score − Bonus Points) ÷ 25] × the level of priority points received
2026 Admission Calendar
Method 1
Register and Submit Documents from 11:00 on June 01 to 17:00 on June 20, 2026.
Results of Method 1
Estimated Date of Announcement of Eligibility for Admission.
Register for Preference
Vietnamese high school graduates who registered on the Ministry of Education and Training's system must submit their applications by 17:00 on July 14, 2026.
Submit application fee
Implementing in accordance with the general regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, deadline 17:00 on July 21, 2026.
Announcement of Results
Results of Method 2 will be published before 5:00 PM on August 13, 2026.
Information for applicants who graduated from foreign high schools
Documents include:
- Admission Application Form.
- Notarized copy or translated notarized copy of high school transcript.
- Notarized copy or translated notarized copy of high school graduation certificate.
- Official document recognizing the equivalent level of Vietnamese High School.
- 03 photos 3×4.
- Notarized copy of passport or citizen identity card.
- Notarized copy of IELTS or TOEFL iBT, if available.
Application deadline: from 10/06/2026 to 10/07/2026.

Supporting Documents
- Candidates must fully and accurately fill in the information and take responsibility for the truthfulness of the content they have filled in.
- Documentation must be scanned or clearly photographed. Missing declarations, missing documents, or unclear documents will not be eligible for bonus points.
- The university verifies foreign language certificates at the issuing institution. Certificates that cannot be verified or show signs of fraud will not be accepted.
- Late-Submitted Supporting Documents Will Not Be Recognized for Bonus Points.
Process for Updating Evidence
Time and schedule according to the original notice: from June 8, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
Prepare documents
Scan/photograph the original documents or certified copies clearly; each file should not exceed 5 MB.
Access the system
Open Credential Update Portal and Log In with Candidate Information.
Declare and save
Declare information, upload proof of awards or certificates, then click 'Save Information'.
Threshold for ensuring input quality
Admission Score of 50 points or above.
Admission Score of 50 points and having a minimum English proficiency certificate of IELTS 5.5, level 4 Vietnam or B2 CEFR.
All candidates must also meet the admission conditions and source criteria of the comprehensive admission method according to the current university undergraduate admission regulations.
