On March 24, 2023, International University (VNU-HCM) signed a Strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FlyFeed Food Company to cooperate in research support, technology transfer, and job creation for graduates.

Implementing the policy of expanding sustainable cooperation with domestic and international enterprises, the International University (IU) has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the startup company FlyFeed in the food technology field. According to that, the content of cooperation between IU and FlyFeed in the near future will provide opportunities for faculty and staff to access new technological equipment to serve teaching activities and promote research projects on sustainable agriculture. Not only that, this cooperation will also create favorable conditions for IU students to intern. FlyFeed is ready to recruit IU students after graduation. At the same time, FlyFeed will also collaborate with the university to organize regular science and technology seminars, topics, to share and exchange knowledge and technology, contributing to enhancing the practical capabilities of IU students.

FlyFeed, an agricultural technology startup, was established in November 2021 with its headquarters in Tallinn, Estonia. FlyFeed uses insects to transform the global food supply chain, such as producing protein, fatty acids, animal feed, and fertilizers, reducing reliance on natural resources. In 2022, FlyFeed built an insect farm and a product production plant in Dong Thap with the goal of exporting products to the European market by 2027.
