Evaluation of training results is an essential part for International University students throughout their study process at the university. This article will help answer common questions about training points for students.
1. What is a training point? How is the training point scale calculated?
It is the score obtained when evaluating the political qualities, morality, and lifestyle of students across five evaluation aspects, on a scale of 100, specifically:

2. What is the use of training points?
Used to evaluate and classify students’ training results by semester, academic year, and throughout the entire study period, according to the following levels:

3. What should students do to earn training points?
Students earn a minimum of 65 training points when they fulfill the requirements for students: GPA of at least 65; compliance with regulations, policies, and school rules, culture of International University; participation in class activities; good performance in internal and external residence duties; compliance and implementation of the Party’s guidelines, state policies, and laws.
4. How to increase training points?
Students can increase their training points by:
– Participating in training activities (academic, scientific research; political – social, cultural, artistic, sports, anti-social evils… ) at the school and local area;
– Participating in class leadership, student organizations, and school organizations;
– Being praised, rewarded, or achieving good results in study and training.
Note: the activities must contribute to the school’s image, e.g.: school logo or clearly stating the student of International University on the certificate.
5. What is the use of the training evaluation results?
The results from each semester are used to consider academic scholarships for students in that semester.
Annual performance evaluation is used to consider suspension or withdrawal from studies.
The result of the full course evaluation is stored in the student management dossier of the university and recorded in the student’s academic and training performance transcript upon graduation.
In addition, students who achieve an outstanding result in the full course training are rewarded and commended by the university during the Graduation Ceremony.
6. Does the training score affect the consideration for major selection and graduation classification?
Training scores do not directly affect the consideration for major selection and graduation classification. However, if a student receives a poor training classification, they may be considered for suspension or withdrawal from studies, in which case they will not be considered for major selection or graduation.
7. Where should students contact or consult about training result evaluation?
The Student Affairs Office is responsible for carrying out these tasks. When needing to contact or consult about training result evaluation, students can visit directly to Room O1.105 of the Student Affairs Office during working hours (morning from 08:00 to 11:30, afternoon from 13:00 to 16:00) from Monday to Friday in the week (excluding holidays and public holidays); or contact via phone number (08) 37244270, internal line: 3334, email oss@student.hcmiu.edu.vn or oss@hcmiu.edu.vn.
8. If there are errors or missing training scores, whom should students contact for assistance?
The training scores accumulated by students are obtained from participating in training activities organized by the university, updated based on the statistical results of the organizing units. There are some cases where the statistics are missing or incorrect, leading to the student’s training results not being fully updated with the training activities they have participated in. When encountering such cases, students should report back to the managing unit that organized these activities for supplementation and adjustment, specifically:
- Training score organization/translation from GPA: University College of Education;
- Other departments/units/centers that organize:
- International Cooperation Training Department
- International Relations Department
- Innovation, Technology Transfer and Application Center
- …
- Student Affairs Office organization/translation of GPA to Training Score: Student Affairs Office;
- Faculty/Department that organizes: Office of the Faculty/Department that organized the activity;
- Youth Union / Student Association at the university/department/subject level that organizes: Office of the Youth Union – Student Association.
9. How to view / request a training score transcript?
- Students can view the training score results on IU Zalo Page
- Students make a request at: https://iuoss.com/request
- After the Student Affairs Office prints the transcript, the Student Affairs Office will send an email notification to the student via their IU email to inform them of the pickup time.
- Students can view the instructions in the email and bring the notification email to the Student Affairs Office to collect the transcript.
The total time from when the student makes the request to when the Student Affairs Office issues the transcript is from 2 to 3 working days.
10. If there are issues with the account related to ĐRL, students should contact whom?
The login account for myIU (also known as IU Portal) to view grades, students should contact the Information Technology Services Department (O1.312).
If after logging in, the system displays an error and grades cannot be viewed, students should contact the Student Affairs Department.
